Startup entrepreneurs Jenny and Stefan had met with me when they were first exploring the idea of a new kind of co-working space. They saw an appealing opportunity space between a coffee shop and a WeWork where freelancers could book a desk for a few hours as needed. After securing a round of angel investment, they were ready to take the plunge to build out their first space and launch a booking and marketing website.

They needed a partner for digital design and development that they could trust to handle complex integrations. I gathered a small team, including a project manager, technical director/backend developer, and front-end developer. YOUBE had already selected a booking and space management provider based in the U.K. —much of our work was mapping desired features to the provided API. This was a team effort, as understanding what was possible was essential to defining the user experience.
